If you have installed an iPhone with Apple Wallet, you can easily present your digital boarding pass without having to tinker with your bag. This is all you need to know about adding your boarding pass to Apple Wallet.
Note: Nearly 70 airports worldwide accept boarding passes through Apple Wallet, so make sure the airports you use support this mobile feature.
If you receive your pass via e-mail, sms or browser
As soon as you check in for your flight ̵
- Open the e-mail attachment at the bottom of the e-mail.
- Tap the Add to Apple Wallet button and tap Add .
Some boarding passes appear automatically based on the location of your device or the time. For example, when you arrive at the airport, your boarding pass may appear as a notification on your iPhone screen. From there, tap the Add to Apple Wallet button to save it.
If you use the airline's app
If you are the nervous type who wants to make sure you don't fully rely on iOS to do its job, download the app from your airline and use it to check in at your flight. Although not all airlines have a special app, most high-profile apps – United, Delta, Southwest, American, JetBlue, Hawaiian, Virgin Atlantic and many international airlines – do have apps to help you plan and follow your journey. After you have checked in, find a button with the Apple Wallet icon to save your boarding pass.
- Create or log in to your account.
- Enter your confirmation code.
- View your boarding pass or an invitation to check
- View the interface of your app to find the Add to Apple Wallet and tap it and then tap Add to.
Once you have the boarding pass in Apple Wallet, all you have to do is launch the app and present it to the flight crew. For multiple boarding passes, save each mobile boarding pass separately for check-in.
