Organizing a Zoom meeting with a large number of participants can be difficult. By adding a co-host to your session, you can share host privileges so that they can take on some of the workload, such as managing participants and sharing screens. Here's how it's done.
Enable the co-host setting in zoom
Before you can add a co-host to a Zoom video conference, you must enable the setting. To do this, go to the Zoom web portal, log in to your Zoom account and then select the "Settings" tab.
You will now be in the Meeting tab of the Settings menu. Scroll down here until you see the & # 39; Co-Host & # 39; finds.
Zoom has many options on this page, so it's easy to overlook something. To make it easier for you, we recommend using the keyboard shortcut "Control + F" (Command + F for Mac) and typing "co-host" in the search box.
The search function will take you exactly where you need to be. Enable the slider next to the "Co-Host" option to enable Zoom's co-host function.
If enabled, the host can now assign a co-host to a meeting. The co-host has the same meeting options as the host. However, a co-host cannot start meetings scheduled by the host.
Add a co-host to a zoom meeting
To assign a participant as a co-host, you must first select the & # 39; Button 'Manage participants' at the bottom of the conference call window during a Zoom call.
A list of participants appears in the right pane. Hover over the name of the participant you want to make as a co-host and select the option "More".
From the menu that appears, select "Make Co-Host."
A pop-up message will appear confirming that you want to make this participant the co-host of your meeting . Select the "Yes" button to continue.
Check that the selected participant has the (Co-host) tag next to their name.
Delete a co-host in a zoom meeting
To revoke co-host privileges , hover over the name of the co-host, on the & # 39; More & # 39; Click and then & # 39; Revoke Consent for Co-Host & # 39; select from the menu.
This method allows you to add an unlimited number of co-hosts to a Zoom meeting. If you need to leave the meeting earlier than expected, make sure to pass the host privileges before doing so or the video conference will end abruptly as soon as you end the call.
