An ‘Animal Crossing’ update from November 19 brings Turkey Day, saves data transfers and more – Review Geek

sniff…. sniff…. Nintendo

It appears that the pumpkins you have collected can still be used. Nintendo is rolling out the winter Animal Crossing: New Horizons update on Thursday, November 1

9. Included in the update are Turkey Day (Thanksgiving), Toy Day (Christmas), save data transfers, new haircuts, new comments, more in-house storage, and the ability to visit random Dream Islands.

Turkey Day is the first of the two new holidays, which runs on November 26. It involves a big meal in your square that you can partake in by bringing pumpkins and other ingredients to Franklin the turkey. Toy Day is much more extensive and runs from December 1 to December 25. Like the Toy Day events of years gone by, this Toy Day includes a mess of exclusive chores and furniture.

Especially winter Animal Crossing update includes a much-requested data transfer feature that makes it easy to save your progress when moving from one console to another. You can now transfer the resident data from a single player to a new Switch, or use the Island Transfer Tool to move your entire island from one system to another.

Small additions to Animal Crossing include nine new reactions, six new (surprisingly inclusive) hairstyles, a home storage expansion and the ability to visit random Dream Islands from your bed. The new reactions and haircuts are available from the Nook Miles kiosk, and extensive home storage is available through Nook after you pay off your debt.
