Apple Maps has started adding COVID-19 test locations.

Angela Lang / CNET

Earlier this month, Apple announced it would add testing sites for coronavirus to its Maps app for iPhone ($ 699 at Apple) and it is now live in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. The test locations include hospitals, emergency rooms, health departments, but we do not yet see drive-through locations.

The company also has a web page where test sites can register their location for verification by Apple. So if you partner with a health care provider for any of the labs or companies that perform tests, you will need to submit your information to Apple (more below).

To see the list of current COVID-1

9 test locations, open the Maps app on your iPhone tap the search bar and select COVID-19 Testing . It shows you all the test sites near you, and each facility has a red logo with a star in the middle to indicate that they are testing for coronavirus.

Go to register.apple.com/covid-19 to add a test location and download the template. The template asks for details such as company name, address, test hours and phone number. Once you have completed your test site information, email the file to Apple's email, covid-data@apple.com. Apple notes that it does not have an estimated time how long it will take to publish your test site to the Maps app, and you may not be notified when it is live.
