Apple releases iOS 14.3 Developer Beta 2 for iPhone «iOS & iPhone :: Gadget Hacks

Apple has released the second developer beta for iOS 14.3, which contains a few quick fixes to problems in Apple ProRAW for iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max and HomeKit.

In particular, the solution for Apple ProRAW is aimed at developers, where it “no longer requires the AVFoundation Capture photo request to explicitly request a thumbnail.” As for HomeKit, Apple says, “Changing the Require Authentication setting under Personal Requests in the Home app now works as expected.”

Apple unexpectedly released the update just before 2:30 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, November 17. We expected Apple to release iOS 14.3 dev beta 2 at 10 a.m. PDT, the company̵

7;s default release time for major software updates, but it’s not uncommon for Apple to deviate from its normal schedule. The update comes five days after the company posted developers the first 14.3 beta and four days after 14.3 public beta 1.

If you are a public beta tester, you will not see this update in your settings yet. Instead, you have to wait for Apple to release iOS 14.3 public beta 2, which we expect to see later on Tuesday night or Wednesday at 10am PDT, but it could be any time.
