Apple just announced the dates for this year̵
“We bring our developers together at WWDC every year to learn about our latest technologies and connect them with Apple engineers,” stated Susan Prescott, Apple’s VP of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Marketing. “We’re working to make WWDC21 our biggest and best yet, and we’re excited to provide Apple developers with new tools to support them in creating apps that change the way we live, work and play. ”
The conference will include several announcements from the keynote and State of the Union phases, 1: 1 labs with technical guidance, online sessions, and new ways for developers of all ages to interact with current Apple designers and engineers to learn more. find out about the latest frameworks. and technologies for iOS, iPadOS, macOS watchOSand tvOS.
Apple also continues the efforts of young coders by opening up entries for this year’s Swift Student Challenge. Students are invited to build an interactive scene in a Swift playground that takes a maximum of three minutes. Swift Playgrounds is Apple’s app for iPad and Mac that helps users learn how to do that program in Swift in a fun and interactive way. Students have until April 18 to submit their creation, and the winner will receive exclusive WWDC21 outerwear and a pin set. look at the Swift Student Challenge site for more details.
Apple is also committed to supporting the local economy, despite the event being fully online, and as part of the $ 100 million Racial Equity and Justice Initiative. As such, Apple is committing $ 1 million SJ strives, an education and equality initiative created by the City of San Jose that focuses on helping young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods help them find their way to college education. The initiative offers a performance-based scholarship, along with individual mentorships and advice, and online tools to help these disadvantaged students overcome the obstacles they may face.
