While everyone stays at home baking bread has become a new national pastime . We are all figuring out sourdough starters and how we can keep our bread fresh longer . But did you know that with the help of your Instant Pot you can make great bread?

Of course you can always make bread of course. Bread Machines are also useful, although they are now a bit difficult to obtain. Although there is no baking mode on the Instant Pot you can still use it to make soft, warm bread that scratches that gluten itch. It can quickly steam bread by boiling them under pressure and helps yeast bread rise in record time. The results? Mmm.

Fast bread cooking

Fast bread typically requires bread recipes with sourdough other than yeast to make them fluffy. This type of bread can be steamed wonderfully with the pressure cooker.

Quickly prepare bread:

1

. Place the steam rack upside down in the inner pot.

2 . Fill the jar with 4 to 6 cups of hot water.

3 . Place the quick bread in a clean metal coffee tin or other small, heat-resistant container. Make sure the inside is greased and flowered.

4 . Cover the container lightly with buttered foil.

5 . Place the container in the inner pot, on top of the steam rack.

6 . Turn the valve to Seal .

7 . Turn off the Warming button .

8 . Lock the lid.

9 . Set Pressure Cook to 40 minutes.

10 . Perform a natural pressure relief for 10 minutes or until the Instant Pot is ready to open.

Here are some more quick bread recipes that work in your Instant Pot:

Proving yeast bread

If you want super fluffy yeast bread with a nice crust, you'll want to use your Instant Pot to prove the dough. I'm super excited about rising my bread this way because I tend to want to eat right away, not after hours of rising.

To rise bread:

1 . Place the bread on parchment paper.

2 . Place the steam rack in the inner pot in the normal way.

3 . Secure the lid.

4 . Turn the valve to Venting .

5 . Use the Yogurt button in low mode to keep the dough just warm enough to rise.

This process took my Instant Pot 24 minutes to completely double my yeast dough. When done, it will look bubbly and sticky. That is natural. Knead the dough and let it rise again according to the recipe or transfer it to your saucepan to bake in the oven.
