Think you know everything there is to know about saving money? Think again. I have a few tips you may have missed. (While you’re at it, you have to learn .)
Get up to 8% money back on Amazon devices
I’ve been a longtime fan of cashback services like Dosh, Rakuten, and TopCashback, which I use year-round to get discounts on almost everything I buy.
At the moment TopCashback has a good offer:. That means products ranging from smart Echo speakers and displays to Fire tablets and TV sticks, plus Kindle e-readers, Ring doorbells and Blink cameras.
Here’s the thing: not many of these items are currently on sale, but they’ll start (again) this Friday, November 20. The cash back option applies to sale prices, so you have the chance to double. dive on savings. (You may also be able to triple dip; see below.)
Also of note, if you don’t already have an Amazon Prime subscription, you will get $ 15 back when you sign up through TopCashback. That’s just about the only discount on Prime I know of anywhere.
It’s free to sign up for a TopCashback account and it requires little more than your name and email address. Once you sign up, visit thatand click Get cashback. That will take you to Amazon, where you normally shop. Shortly after making your purchase, you should receive an email confirming that TopCashback has registered it. (Important: Please do not use an adblocker during this process or your purchase may be destroyed not log in.)
Remember: this is not an upfront discount; it’s cash back after the fact, just like with your credit card. And speaking of that, using TopCashback (or any other money back service) will not affect the refund you will receive from the credit card you use to make your purchases. Like, say, this one:
Save 10% or more extra with the Amazon Visa card
If you the, you know it gives you a 5% cash discount on almost all Amazon purchases. However, Amazon often increases that rate for certain products. At the moment, for example .
Don’t have a Prime Rewards visa yet? Now’s the time to sign up – if you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber, you will receive a $ 100 gift card after you are approved for that Visa with no annual fees.
A remarkable example of how you can take advantage of this: it is rarely discounted at this point, the same price as always. But if you pay with your Prime Rewards card, you will get 10% back, which is about $ 40.
Needless to say, if Amazon is involved in your vacation shopping plans, it’s worth exploring these two options.
