Capitol riots videos shown in Trump’s impeachment trial: watch them here

The impeachment trial against former President Donald Trump has reached day 2, where prosecutors continue to build their arguments. During the first day of the trial, the Democratic impeachment managers presented a graphic video to the Senate urging his followers to march to Capitol Hill on January 6, followed by violence such as rioters shouted obscenities and fought police officers to break through the Capitol.

On Wednesday, the impeachment managers presented never-before-released security camera footage of the Capitol attack. Shot in and around the Capitol, the clips show the crowd breaking into the building and flowing through corridors trying to find the House and Senate chambers, members of Congress and then Vice President Mike Pence. The footage also shows that Pence is rushed out of the Senate Chamber and to safety because the rioters were already in the Capitol.
