The Nintendo Switch is equipped with a headphone jack. But since many headphones go wireless, you need a way to connect those Bluetooth headphones to your console. There is a dongle for that.
7;s going to cost some money
Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch doesn’t work out of the box with Bluetooth headphones. The Switch has built-in speakers, but your neighbor on the train may not enjoy the Stardew Valley themed music as much as you do.
You can also take advantage of the built-in headphone jack if you have wired headphones, but the cord can get very annoying very quickly. The solution? Buy a Nintendo Switch Bluetooth dongle.

The Review Geek team recommends the HomeSpot Bluetooth 5.0 adapter. The only downside is that it doesn’t support pass-through charging, which means you can’t charge your Switch without removing the dongle. If this is an indispensable feature, the RG team recommends the Bionik BT dongle.

First, you need to turn on your Nintendo Switch and go to the home screen. This is the screen where your games are listed in a row, with various system and online options below.
Next, you’ll need to plug the adapter into the USB-C charging port on the Nintendo Switch, which is located on the bottom of the device.
Enable pairing mode on the dongle with the adapter inserted into the console. In the case of the HomeSpot adapter, it is automatically in pairing mode once plugged into the switch. If you are using a different adapter, the instructions on how to enter pairing mode are in the documentation that came with the product. It’s generally as simple as holding down a button.
Finally, enable pairing mode on your Bluetooth headphones. If you use AirPods Pro like us, you need the earbuds in the case with the case open. Then press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case until the status light on the front of the case flashes white.
After a while, your Bluetooth headset will pair with the Nintendo Switch and you can start gaming.
