How do you improve the cool factor of LEGO? How about a LEGO Monster Truck! If you’re a fan of LEGO and a fan of Monster Trucks (and who isn’t?), The news just keeps getting better and better. LEGO has just announced new LEGO Technic Monster Jam Max-D and Monster Jam Grave Digger sets. Best of all? They will only set you back $ 1
For just under an Andrew Jackson, you get 230 for the Max-D set and 212 for the Grave Digger set. Both have a “pull back” action that causes the car to leave the race and be ready to smash everything.
The sets fall into the tech series, and you can expect a bit of difficulty, partly due to the pull-back motor. But LEGO rates these sets as suitable for ages seven and up, making it a more accessible Technic set.
Choose your favorite Monster Truck (or buy both!), And you’ll get custom graphics and details for the truck. That includes the Max-D’s spikes and fire images and the Grave Digger’s movable crossbones flag. Of course you get big tires, headlights and bold colors.
But once you’re done demolishing everything in your path, you can convert any truck into an off-road buggy. That makes this a two-in-one set, which isn’t bad at $ 20. LEGO says both the Grave Digger and Max-D will be released January 1. Not in time for Christmas, but just in time for a Happy New Year.
