Dance TikTok & # 39; s Footshake Challenge in 3 Different Ways «Smartphones :: Gadgethacks

Whether you call it foot shake or foot dance, videos of people tapping their feet against each other are still blown up everywhere in TikTok. If you want to take part in the promotion but can't go along with all the fast TikToks, we'll slow it down a bit for you and a friend.

A major problem with learning the #footshake or #footdance is that there are actually a few different versions and the names are usually used interchangeably. Second, regardless of which version you want to try, there aren't many tutorials that you can follow. Most people just want to post videos of themselves that successfully perform the dance, instead of taking the time to guide others through it.

If you encounter the madness today, you are probably thinking of the "Oh Nanana". This specific version of the dance challenge became popular in mid-201

8 when a remix version of Bonde R300's "Oh Nanana" was released by DJ 6RB. The mix extended the catchy hook at the beginning of the song to the perfect TikTok video competition.

There are actually a few different versions of the Oh Nanana challenge: one that is a solo dance and one that needs two people. We refer to the latter. And as for the other version of the # footshake / # footdance, it is an older version that uses the song "Faded (Vikstrom Remix)" by Alan Walker. We view both below.

# 1: Oh Nanana (The New Footshake)

Although there are not many tutorials that break down the "Oh Nanana" footshake, we have taken the time to do the steps ourselves.

  1. Tap against the inside of your right feet against each other
  2. Tap against the inside of your left feet against each other
  3. Tap against the inside of your right feet against each other
  4. Tap against the inside of your left feet [19659008] Tap against the inside of your right feet against each other
  5. Immediately tap against the outside of your right feet against each other
  6. Turn to the left and then tap against the back of your left feet

From here the performance varies a lot a lot . Watch enough videos & you will see how people do the rest of the dance differently, often staggering at the end of the clip. The most important thing seems to be sticking to a routine and doing well. But here is a good rule of thumb for the rest of the steps:

  1. Tap the outside of your right feet against each other
  2. Tap the inside of your left feet against each other
  3. Tap the inside of your right feet against each other
  4. Tap against the outside of your left feet against each other
  5. Turn to the right and then tap against the back of your right feet against each other
  6. Rinse and repeat

As you can see in the compilation below, there is a lot of variation. [19659022] And here's a popular example of a direct on TikTok:

# 2: Faded (The Old Footshake – Harder Moves)

If that first footshake is a bit too difficult, try starting with the old version. There is the fairly complicated version that we will discuss first, then a total beginner version that simplifies many of the movements that you can jump down to see if you want to start there.

  1. Tap the inside of your left foot together
  2. Tap the inside of your right feet together
  3. Tap the inside of your left feet together
  4. Tap the outside of your left feet
  5. Turn right and tap your right feet together
  6. Spin back and tap the outside of your left foot together again
  7. Tap the inside of your right foot together
  8. Tap the inside of your left foot together
  9. Tap the inside of your right foot together
  10. Tap the outside of your right feet together
  11. Turn left and tap with your left feet together
  12. Turn back and tap the outside of your right feet again
  13. Repeat everything

The video below is a long one walk the process, although it is in Italian, but you can slow the video down to see the steps more clearly. Go to 4:05 to see the full dance.

To view an example of the dance directly on TikTok, we have it for you too:

If that seemed too hard at all, there is a more relaxed version that you can try if you don't do alternate spins. The walkthrough from Erick Bassan on YouTube is easy to learn the movements from. He and a friend first show off the dance at full speed, then slow down the images to demonstrate each movement individually. When it is all said and done, there are only seven steps that you and your partner should know:

  1. Tap the inside of your right feet
  2. Tap the inside of your left feet
  3. Tap the inside of your right feet together again
  4. Tap against the outside of your right feet against each other
  5. Turn left and tap the bottom of your left feet together
  6. Turn back and tap the outside of your right feet again
  7. Repeat from # 2 above
