Disable AMBER warnings in Android and iOS

The AMBER Alert System is an excellent tool for locating and recovering children abducted in your area. According to the US government, this system has helped 1029 children recover in all participating regions – 87 through Wireless Emergency Alerts alone.

However, these alerts go to mobile devices – phones, tablets, smartwatches – at any time, even when you’re sleeping. You can turn off these AMBER warnings, but that will limit your ability to help authorities get these kidnapped innocents back. This guide explains how to disable AMBER and other emergency alerts ̵
