Emoji and GIF integration are two of Slack’s standout and beloved features. But the continuous loop of a “party parrot” emoji or GIF can be distracting. Here’s how to turn them off.
Fortunately, there is a quick change to the settings you can make to stop moving emojis and GIFs if you want to avoid visual distraction. It is very quick to switch, so you can easily switch it on and off as needed.

After opening the Slack desktop app or online client on your Windows 1
Now navigate to the “Accessibility” tab on the left sidebar and uncheck “Allow animated images and emoji” under Animation.
Exit the Preferences menu by clicking out and you are done. All emojis and GIFs will now appear as still images until you toggle that setting back on.
