If unwanted friend requests on Nintendo Switch get on your nerves, you can easily turn them off completely in Settings without affecting your current friends list. Best of all, you can still add friends later if you need to. Here̵
First, from the Nintendo Switch home menu, select your user profile icon in the top left corner of the screen.
Select ‘User Settings’ from the sidebar menu of your profile page.
In “User Settings”, scroll down the page and find the “Friend Features” section. Select ‘Friend Settings’.
In ‘Friend settings’, switch the option ‘Receive friend requests’ to ‘Off’. This will turn off friend requests.
Then press the “B” button several times to exit the “User Settings” menu.
If “Receive Friend Requests” is set to “Off”, you will no longer receive friend requests. But you can still add a friend by using the features on the Profile> Add Friend page, including exchanging a friend code or searching for local users. Lots of fun!
