Don’t miss the Super Nintendo World Live Stream Preview on December 18 at 6pm EST – Review Geek

Three words: Super Nintendo World. That is the name of the new theme park that Nintendo has created in collaboration with Universal Studios. Now the first park in Japan is nearing completion, and Nintendo is ready to show it in a live stream today (Dec. 1

8) at 6 p.m. Eastern. Hopefully it is not a 16-bit stream.

Usually Nintendo Direct events show off upcoming games, but it won’t be today. Instead, the 15-minute video gives you a closer look at the theme park. We will likely see more details of the Super Mario Kart ride, Bowser’s Castle, and maybe even the Yoshi ride.

The first Super Nintendo World will open in Japan in February 2021, but eventually we’ll see similar theme parks at Universal Studios in Florida and California. Nintendo says they won’t be identical, but the main themes should be there. That will be a long wait, but with the current global pandemic, that waiting seems just as important.

The design of the first park makes you feel like you’re in a Super Nintendo game, with the angular hills you often see Super Mario games and bright colors everywhere. So far we’ve seen a few photos, but that leaves many corners unexplored and stones uncut. Squint your eyes and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into one Super Mario World level. Just try to avoid the lava.

If you’re interested in what a Nintendo theme park looks like, don’t miss today’s live stream.
