The donut maker unveiled a promotion this spring with a free Original Glazed donut to “anyone showing their COVID-19 vaccination registration card” at “participating US locations.” The promotion started in March and will run through December 31st. You get ‘one redemption per guest per day’ so you can theoretically get a free donut every day for the rest of the year –
That can end up being a lot of donuts. According to the CDC, as of April 16, 24% of all Americans have been fully vaccinated and 38% have been partially vaccinated.
How do you get a free Krispy Kreme donut a day once you have been vaccinated?
To be eligible, you must submit yourIt must show that you have at least one of the two recordings of the
Wearing your “I’ve been vaccinated” sticker doesn’t count. The company adds on its website that employees will not document or take photos of your vaccination card as it “contains personal information”.
You have to go to a Krispy Kreme store or drive-thru to get the deal, with the company noting that it doesn’t make the free donuts available to those who order online or through delivery apps.
You can still get a free Krispy Kreme donut even if you don’t get the vaccine
Those who decide not to get the vaccine can also get free donuts, although Krispy Kreme’s offering is a bit more limited there.
“We understand that choosing the COVID-19 vaccine is a very personal decision,” the company said on its website. It adds that if you decide not to get the vaccine, you can still get a free Original Glazed donut and medium brew coffee on Mondays “to start your week off right.”
The offer for people who have not been vaccinated runs every Monday until May 24.
