Draw online with the Google Chrome Canvas app

If you are looking for a platform-independent drawing program, look no further than the Google Chrome Canvas web app. It is linked to your Google account, so you can save and edit your drawings on multiple devices. Here's how to use it.

The first time you open Google Chrome Canvas, you'll be asked to sign in to your Google account. Click on "Get started" and use your account details to get started.

Open, create or delete a Chrome Canvas drawing

When you first open Google Chrome Canvas, a new drawing is displayed by default. If you've used it before, you'll see thumbnails of your previous drawings.

If you have an existing drawing, click on it to start editing. Otherwise you can click the blue "New drawing" button to create a new, empty drawing or click "New from image" to import an existing image from your PC instead.

Your new drawing paper (empty or with a supplied image) opens automatically, ready for you to start marking.

To delete a drawing after it has been created, return to the start / selection screen by clicking the start icon in the upper-left corner of the Google Chrome Canvas web interface. Click the three-dot menu button in the lower-right corner of the drawing thumbnail and then click the "Delete" button.

Add a name to Google Chrome Canvas drawings

New Google Chrome Canvas drawings are created without a name. If you want to add a name to an existing drawing, click on the menu icon with three dots for the drawing on the selection screen and then on the "Rename" button.

Type a suitable name for your drawing and then click the "OK" button to save your changes.

Changing and coloring paint tools

The Google Chrome Canvas editing mode has various drawing tools that you can use, etc. with its own texture, size and impact. These tools are prominently displayed in a menu on the left side of the screen.

When you select a tool, it appears more prominently, with the selected color applied. The available drawing tools include a pencil, fountain pen, highlighter, chalk, and an eraser tool.

Just above the list of tools are options to change the color and size of your drawing tool. By clicking on the round icon, you can choose colors from a preset palette. You can also click on & # 39; Custom & # 39; to use a hexadecimal color code instead.

To edit the size and coverage of your drawing, click on the pencil with a triangle under the circular icon.

Use your mouse to move the sliders to the left or right to decrease or increase the size or coverage of your drawing tool output.

 Click the icon below the circular icon in the Google Chrome Canvas drawing tools menu to change the size and coverage of the tool.

If you want to undo changes you make while drawing (or want to redo), you can use the left and right arrows in the edit screen.

 Click the circular icons at the top left or right of the Google Chrome Canvas screen to undo or redo actions.

Add or remove layers.

With Google Chrome Canvas you can create multiple layers and gives you the flexibility to create complex drawings that can be easily edited.

In the Layers menu you can view your existing layers. You can add, hide or delete existing layers from this menu. To access, click on the rhombus icon in the top right corner, next to the icon with the three dot settings.

Click the plus icon in the upper right corner of the pop-up menu to add a new layer. Click on the trash can icon next to each layer to remove it or on the eye icon to hide it.

The selected canvas color is automatically applied once it is selected. You can also hide this background layer by clicking on the eye icon and leaving a transparent background.

Exporting a Google Chrome Canvas drawing

If you have created a Google Chrome Canvas drawing and want to export it to another location, either for printing or further editing, there are two ways to do this .

In the editing screen, click the icon with the three dots in the upper right corner. From the pop-up menu, click on "Export drawing" to start exporting.

Both methods allow you to use the drawing as an image export to your computer in the PNG image.
