When Applethe company changed how you rearrange the icons on your home screen and remove apps. Long press of app icons no longer worked in the same way as since the original iPhone was launched, which was downright confusing.
With theApple is introducing changes that make it easier to understand how app icons should be re-ordered and removed from the home screens. There may be a slight learning curve if you get used to the new method, but after using it a few times, you should immediately feel at home in the process.
You still start with a long press on an app icon. You can expect the app icons to start shaking and moving, but instead you'll see a pop-up menu with different options. Some of those options are specific to the app, such as composing an email for the Mail app, but there will also be two new options: Remove app and Edit home screen .
Tap Edit Home Screen if you want to rearrange your home screen, create app folders, and so on.
Tap Uninstall app and confirm your decision if you want to uninstall that specific app. You can delete several apps by selecting Edit Home Screen, which activates the well-known jiggly icons with an X in the upper left corner (tap the X to delete an app).
If you are a traditionalist and want to keep pressing the app icon for a long time and wait for the icons to start moving, you can – you just have to keep waiting until the apps start to wobble, and then you can drag them around or tap on the X to remove them.
When you have finished moving your apps or pruning old apps from your phone, tap Done .
