Subtitles can help you better understand a story, and may be needed if you enjoy foreign films. Amazon Prime Video has tons of shows and movies that you may need to turn on subtitles for. Here's how to set up subtitles and manage the way they are displayed on the screen.
If you are ready to enable subtitles, visit the Amazon website. Log in to your Amazon account and then click or tap the menu icon (the three horizontal lines in the top left corner).
Under "Shop by Category," click on "Prime Video".
When the following menu appears, select "Prime Video" again.
Once you are on the Prime Video main page select the show or movie you want to watch.
After the show information has been entered, select "Watch Now".
After your movie or show has started, select the icon that looks like a chat balloon in the top right corner.

Select the speech bubble again to make sure subtitles are turned on. There must be a check mark next to the language you selected.
Select "Prime Video" from the newly completed menu.
In this second menu, select "Prime Video" again.
Now select "Settings" from the menu bar once you are on the Prime Video. page.
Click on "Subtitles".
On the "Subtitles" tab, you will see a standard subtitle and options for editing the captions.
If you want to change the default subtitles, click "Edit" next to each preset to adjust the font size, color, opacity and more of the caption.
You can now capture any moment of your shows and movies. with your custom subtitles.
With subtitles turned on, you can watch any movie or show without missing a beat of dialogue. Subtitles can help when characters speak too fast or speak a different language, and enabling them on Amazon Prime Video has never been easier.
