The AirPods Pro comes with a noise canceling mode. The iPhone and iPad guide you through switching modes, but the Mac does not. Here̵
There are two ways to turn on noise cancellation for AirPods Pro on the Mac. You can do this using the stem of your AirPods Pro or the Volume menu on your Mac.
Turn on Noise Cancellation for AirPods Pro using the Mac menu bar
The fastest way to switch between different sound control modes on the Mac is to use the Volume menu in the Mac menu bar.
If you don’t see the volume button in the menu bar, you can turn it on from “System Preferences”. To do this, click on the “Apple” icon in the menu bar and choose the option “System Preferences”.
Select the “Sound” option here.
Now go to the “Output” tab and make sure “Show volume in menu bar” is checked.
Now you will see a volume icon in the menu bar. Once your AirPods Pro is connected to your Mac, click the “Volume” button and select your AirPods Pro.
To enable “Noise Canceling” mode, click the speaker icon on the Mac menu bar, point to your AirPods Pro, and select “Noise Canceling” from the noise canceling list. You can also enable it “Off” or “Transparency” mode by clicking those options.

How to quickly turn on or off noise canceling on AirPods Pro
Unlike the AirPods, the AirPods Pro does not have a double tap function. Instead, you press and hold the force sensor in the stem of the AirPods Pro. By default, you can hold down both stems to switch between the three noise control modes: noise canceling, transparency and off.

Off mode is normal mode. Transparency mode actively lets ambient sounds through during playback, and Noise Canceling mode blocks out all noise.
Simply press and hold the stem on either side of the AirPods Pro to switch between modes. At first glance, this sounds quite simple. But you may not want to use Transparency mode.
There is a way to remove Transparency Mode from the switching process altogether.
After connecting your AirPods Pro to your Mac, click on the “Apple” icon in the menu bar and choose the “System Preferences” option.
Select the option “Bluetooth” here.
Now click on the “Options” button next to your AirPods Pro.
Here, make sure Noise Control is enabled for Left, Right or both AirPods Pro.
Then in the “Switch between noise canceling” section, turn off the “Transparency” option. Then click the “Done” button to save the options.
Now press and hold the force sensor on the AirPods Pro to easily turn the noise canceling mode on or off.
