Marvel Cinematic Universe fans will return the films in the second half of 2021 – Black Widow coming to theaters and Disney Plus Premiere Access this July, with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hitting theaters in September and Spider-Man: No Way Home next in December, but there is another big MCU movie on the way. The debut of alien super team the Eternals was delayed for a year due to the pandemic, but his first trailer landed on Monday and revealed how long these characters live on Earth.

The movie is directed by Chloe Zhao, who has just won a few Oscars for her film Nomadland, and written by cousins Matthew and Ryan Firpo. It comes out on November 5th.

Who exactly are Marvel’s Eternals?

They’re the next superpowered group to join the MCU, and Marvel Studios has amassed an incredible cast – including Angelina Jolie, Kit Harington and super fragrance Wolverine cosplayer Kumail Nanjiani – to fill the team.

The official synopsis noted that the Eternals are “ancient aliens who have lived secretly on Earth for thousands of years.”

“Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them from the shadows to reunite against humanity’s oldest enemy, The Deviants, ”it reads.

The first poster of the movie also dropped on Monday, and it exudes some serious sci-fi vibes.

Who plays these all-new Marvel heroes?

The character descriptions are from Marvel’s official synopsis – poor Dane Whitman is apparently too boring for any hype. However, he becomes the sword-wielding hero Black Knight in the comics, so maybe the company is just keeping quiet like that.

The film will reunite Harington and Madden, who played Jon Snow and Robb Stark Game of Thrones.

“It never occurred to me to be in a Marvel movie. I think I thought that boat had sailed, and it was an absolute shock,” Salma Hayek said in a May 2021 interview with Variety. She also told the publication. she was one of the first people they cast for the movie.

Gemma Chan was previously seen in the MCU as Captain MarvelMinn-Erva, but Sersi is a separate character. She said working on Eternals was a very different experience from Captain Marvel, who employed more studio work and blue screen. Eternals was filmed in the Canary Islands and England, so it uses real environments and mainly natural light, as previously reported by IDMbrief.

In December 2019, Nanjiani revealed the fruits of his training – and the intense regimen it takes to sustain it – to play swordsman Kingo in some super-buff Instagram photos. In March 2020 he will have used that new physique impersonate Wolverine (replacing Hugh Jackman) and other iconic movie characters for a Men’s Health photo shoot.

“I couldn’t have done this if I hadn’t had a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the largest studio in the world,” he wrote in his original Instagram caption. “I’m glad I look like this, but I also understand why I’ve never done it before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time.”

It also has two big firsts for the MCU: Brian Tyree Henry, van Godzilla to Kong, plays Phastos – the first openly gay superhero in the MCU, and Lauren Ridloff, who you may know as Connie in The living Dead, becomes the MCU’s first deaf superhero. Her character, Makkari, is male in the comics.

But what is even an Eternal, you wonder? Maybe you have already met one: Thanos. The big, purple mass murderer was the center of attention Avengers: Infinity War and took on a slew of heroes in Endgame – his temporarily successful attempt to end overpopulation by wiping out half of the galaxy is apparently the reason for the Eternals reuniting in the MCU.

Like it Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Universe, this movie focuses on Marvel’s cosmic cartoon characters.

What is the History of the Eternals in Marvel Comics?

Thanos may be the only Eternal we’ve seen on screen, but Eternals have a comedic history that dates back to 1976. They were created by Jack Kirby, co-creator of the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, after he created the same New gods for DC six years earlier.

In the comics, they are an evolutionary offshoot of humanity living on Earth, which has greater powers and a longer lifespan. The Celestials, a group of space gods, created them to defend Earth. The current series, from writer Kieron Gillen and artist Esad Ribić, started in January 2021.

We’ve already seen a few Celestials in the Guardians of the Universe movies – most notably the space station Knowhere (actually the severed head of a Celestial) and Peter Quill’s father, Ego, (who took on human form) in the second Guardians movie.
