Although it is generally easy, a website from your browser to your taskbar is a little different depending on which browser you use.
Adding a website to your Google Chrome taskbar requires a few extra menus than some other browsers, but that doesn't mean it doesn't is difficult. Proceed as follows:
Step 1: Open the website that you want to fix to your taskbar in Google Chrome.
Step 2: Click on the menu with three dots in the top right corner.
Step 3: Click on More tools followed by Create a shortcut .
Step 4: When the pop-up window appears, you can change the name of the shortcut and then choose Create Create . The shortcut should then appear automatically on your desktop.
Step 5: Click and drag the new shortcut to your taskbar. You can also right-click on the shortcut and select Pin to taskbar .
Note for Macs: Chrome works a little differently on MacOS. Instead of using the tool To create a shortcut you must select Save page as instead. Next, in the window that appears, make sure you save the link to your Desktop . This should add the shortcut to your desktop, no problem.
Unfortunately Firefox has no integrated way to pin down shortcuts to the taskbar Chrome does that. However, there is a solution.
Step 1: Create a new Firefox shortcut. To do this, search for Firefox in the Windows search box. Right-click on the relevant result and click on Open file location . Click and drag the Firefox shortcut to your desktop, or copy and paste it there.
Step 2: Right-click on the new shortcut and select Properties .
Step 3: Add "-url" in the Target field followed by the website to which you want to navigate the pinned link. For example: "C: Program Files Mozilla Firefoxfirefox.exe -url https://www.digitaltrends.com"
Step 4: Click OK . Then right click on the shortcut and select Pin to taskbar .
The Microsoft Edge browser (while it is still there) has one of the simplest methods for attaching a website to the taskbar. Just follow these quick steps:
Step 1: Open the desired website in the Edge browser.
Step 2: Click on the menu icon with three dots at the top right
Step 3: Scroll through the menu until you find Pin this page on the taskbar . Click here.
If you prefer to lock on the Start menu, click on that respective menu item instead.
