Fortnite season 7, week 1 has started with a new alien theme to keep things interesting. In addition, Epic Games has implemented a new set of challenges, and for the most part they are relatively easy to get through. The only ones that can cause you trouble require you to visit specific areas on the map. One is specifically for accepting a call box search, and while they’re not hard to find, you may run into some trouble if you’re not sure what to look for.
In this guide, we’ll show you everything you need to know about completing this challenge as part of Season 7 Week 1. Here’s how to accept a call box mission in Fortnite.
Where do you find phone booths
Phone booths spawn at fixed locations on the map and are usually scattered around the outside. Refer to the map above for help finding it (courtesy of Fortnite.gg). Which one you choose to visit will depend on the trajectory of the battle bus at the start of the match. Ideally, you should pick one that’s a little out of the way if you’re afraid of running into another enemy player.
If an opponent invades you, they can knock you out before you can get to the phone booth, meaning you’ll have to try again in a separate match. So pick one nearby and communicate with your team so they can protect you while you go to the phone booth. Keep in mind that this can be done in any Battle Royale mode or Team Rumble. If you’re stuck, we recommend that you try Team Rumble as you can respawn if you’re knocked out, which makes it easier to try again.
Accepting a search from a pay phone
Once you find the phone booth, the hardest part is over. At this point, all you need to do is communicate with the pay phone by pressing . to push Square on playstation, X on Xbox, or Y on Nintendo Switch, and you’ll be prompted to accept a quest. Select the Thumbs up option, and you start the quest and complete the challenge. Keep in mind that you don’t actually have to complete the quest you got through the phone booth – starting it will give you credit for this week’s challenge.
Now you can choose to complete the quest anyway as this will give you some gold bars, but you don’t have to. After you accept the quest, complete the weekly challenge and earn 30,000 XP for your battle pass. Since it can be completed quickly, we don’t recommend skipping it.
