The latest set of Fortnite Challenges is live, and for Season 5, Week 7, you’ll likely get through most of them with ease. One quest can be a bit of a challenge though, and you’ll need to destroy 10 Slurp barrels. They are of course not marked on your map, so you need to know where to find them.
In this guide, we’ll show you the best place to destroy Slurp Barrels and give you some information about a potential challenge progression bug you might encounter. Here’s how to destroy Slurp barrels Fortnite.
Where can you find Slurp Barrels
To complete this challenge, you must destroy 10 Slurp Barrels, which give you health and shields when broken. They can be found on the map, but the most efficient way to find them is to visit Slurpy Swamp. When you enter the main factory you will find them scattered all over the place, so make sure to thoroughly explore these areas. In many cases you will find more than one Slurp Barrel in a specific place, which means that you can complete this challenge quite quickly.
The safest area with Slurp Barrels is west of Slurpy Swamp, within a group of houses. The factory itself will probably be quite busy, so you better visit the houses in the west where you are less likely to encounter other players. There are four main houses here, which contain multiple Slurp barrels and equipment, so loot it and make sure to cut the barrels with your harvesting tools on every house visit.

During Fortnite Season 5, Week 7, looks like there’s a progression bug preventing players from completing challenges. In summary, you will receive credit for the in-game challenge, but returning to the main menu to view your missions may still indicate that you have not yet completed them. Since certain challenges need to be completed earlier – such as in the case of destroying 10 Slurp Barrels – you may not actually be able to start them until the bug is patched.
To start the challenge of destroying 10 slurp barrels, you must first complete the challenge of visiting three houses in Slurpy Swamp in one game. However, you may not be able to complete it completely yet due to the bug. Epic Games has released a statement via Twitter acknowledging the bug and noting that it will work on it. So if you can’t start this challenge just yet, don’t be alarmed.
