You can order your Galaxy S20, S20 + or S20 Ultra in advance from 21 February. Samsung contains everything you need to get started, but probably not everything you want . Let's bridge that gap.
Whichever phone you choose, as with all Samsung flagships, there are a wide range of products that you can use to enhance your experience. So why wait for useful accessories? While you wait for your phone to arrive, you can get the essentials and have everything ready on the first day. To help you, here are a few custom made gadgets for the Galaxy S20.
# 1. Headphone Dongle (Sigh)
The S20 is the first Galaxy S phone without a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Your old headphones are now outdated, so throw them in the trash and buy a pair of Galaxy Buds + as Samsung wants.
Or … you can buy a much cheaper adapter and keep all your old headphones.
The official headphone adapter from Samsung is a great option ( $ 14.97 on Amazon), but is limited to 24-bit / 192 kHz audio. If you want the highest quality audio that your Galaxy S20 supports, we recommend the WKWZY USB C DAC ($ 22.99 on Amazon). Unlike the official headphone adapter, it can play up to 32 bit / 384 kHz audio.
# 2. 45 W wired charger (S20 Ultra)
Although all three phones contain a 25 W Super Fast Charger (SFC), the Galaxy S20 Ultra can be charged even faster with Super Fast Charging 2.0 (SFC 2.0). There are currently very few external chargers that support USB PD 3.0 and PPS, two requirements for SFC 2.0. That is why we recommend to purchase the official Samsung 45 W charger ( $ 38.54 on Amazon) for fast wired charging for now. It is the only one that has everything you need, including a compatible USB-C cable.
# 4. Super Fast Charging 2.0 Powerbank
As with the wall charger, there are few power banks that use both USB PD 3.0 as PPS support, needed to take advantage of the Galaxy W20 Ultra's 45 W Super Fast Charging 2.0 system. Fortunately, the only option I found was fantastic – the ELECJET PowerPie 20,000 mAh Power Bank.
The PowerPie can run up to 45 W, the fastest a Galaxy phone has ever been able to charge. With a capacity of 20,000 mAh, you can take your S20 Ultra four times from 0% to 100% before you need to recharge it, and that number would be even higher for the S20 and S20 +. And with the help of the 45 W charger, you can charge the power bank in 2.5 hours when it eventually runs out of energy.
