The first thing to do is to open Google Assistant. On Android devices, you can do this by saying “Okay, Google” or by swiping in from the bottom left or right corner.
With an iPhone or iPad, you can tap the Google Assistant app from the home screen.
Then sign into your Google account (if you haven’t already) and tap your profile icon to open the Assistant menu.
Scroll through the list of Assistant options and tap ‘Your People’.
You may already see some people listed here. If not, tap ‘Add person’.
Choose someone from your contact list.
This is the screen where you can add their date of birth. Tap the “Birthday” box and select the date. Tap “OK” when done.
On the same page, you can add how you are connected to the person, as well as their home address. When you are done entering details, tap ‘Add’.
If you’ve already listed people on the “Your People” page, just tap someone and add the birthday information to their profile.
That’s all there is to it. You will receive a reminder from the Google Assistant when a person’s birthday is approaching. You’ll also see a card for the person’s birthday in your Google Assistant “Snapshot” feed, along with shortcuts for calling or messaging them.
