Google discontinued its old Play Music service in December 2020, cementing its commitment to the new YouTube Music platform. But are you not forgetting something? Play Music will still contain all the files you have uploaded to it, along with songs purchased on the platform, playlists and other account information. Google initially planned to delete all Play Music data by 2020, but the company pushed the deadline back to the end of February 2021 to account for procrastinators like you and me.
