Microsoft’s “Meet Now” feature in Windows 10 appears as an icon in the notification area of the taskbar with links to Skype teleconferencing features. Here’s how to hide or turn off the Meet Now icon and the notification.
What is meeting now?
The Meet Now icon looks like a small video camera symbol with curved lines above and below it. By default, it is displayed in the notification area of the Windows 1
When clicked, the Meet Now button opens a small pop-up window with links to start or join meetings using Skype, a teleconferencing service owned by Microsoft.
If you don’t have the Skype application installed, both links will open the Skype website in your default web browser. If you have Skype installed, the links will open the Skype application. There is no “Meet Now” application.

Hide the Meet Now icon on the taskbar
To quickly hide the Meet Now icon, right-click it and select “Hide” from the context menu that appears.
After that, the Meet Now icon disappears from the taskbar. It won’t reappear unless you turn it back on (see the section below). This action also effectively ‘turns off’ Meet Now since the button was just a set of links to Skype.
How to disable the Meet Now button from Settings
You can also turn off the Meet Now button using the Windows Settings app. First, launch the settings by clicking the gear icon in your Start menu or by pressing Windows + i on your keyboard. Then click Personalization> Taskbar.
In the taskbar settings menu, scroll down and find the “Notification area” section, then click the “Enable or disable system icons” link.
On the ‘Enable or Disable System Icons’ page, find the ‘Meet Now’ option and flip the toggle next to it to turn it ‘Off’.
After that, the Meet Now icon will be disabled.

How to Fix (or Hide) the Meet Now Button

The Meet Now icon appears immediately in the taskbar and stays there unless you hide it again.
