Although One UI 2 comes with a whole range of enhancements, such as native screen capture and more intuitive gestures, it also includes a number of unnecessary functions such as hot keys for "Media" and "Devices" that many of us can do without. Admittedly, these new buttons in the Galaxy Quick Settings panel are not completely useless. This allows you to create shortcuts for media apps such as YouTube and SoundCloud and view connected devices such as Galaxy Buds at a glance. But if you do not use these functions, they only serve to take up space.

To remove these new buttons in your pull-down shadow, swipe twice from the top of each screen to fully expand the Quick Settings panel. From there, tap the three-point menu button along the right edge just above all switches.
From the menu that appears, choose "Quick Panel Layout" and then tap "View Media and Devices" to disable the feature. Tap "Done" to complete things and you will no longer see the buttons ahead.
