Given how often we open new tabs in Google Chrome, it’s easy to get bored of a single background image. Fortunately, Chrome allows you to automatically change the background of the new tab page every day. Here’s how to set it up.
First, launch the Google Chrome browser on your Windows 1
Make sure you are in the popup that appears in the “Background” section.
On the ‘Wallpaper’ page, you will find a number of preset collections of wallpapers, such as ‘Texture’, ‘Landscapes’, ‘Art’ and ‘Earth’. Google Chrome can automatically apply a new wallpaper from one of these collections to your new tab page every day.
So let’s say you want Google Chrome to display a new background from the “Earth” collection on your new tab page. To do this, first click on the thumbnail of the collection in the grid.
On the next page, Google Chrome shows all the wallpapers of the collection. Turn on the “Refresh Daily” switch in the top right corner of the pop-up window.
Click the “Done” option to save your preferences.
After that, the new tab in your Google Chrome browser will show a new wallpaper from the “Earth” collection (or whatever collection you choose) every day.
If you really enjoy any of the background images, you can see the current background creator’s name and source in the lower left corner of the new tab page.
Likewise, there are plenty of other ways you can customize Google Chrome to your liking. You can edit more elements of the new tab page itself or even create your own browser theme in minutes. Lots of fun!
