Facebook and Instagram are more in sync than ever. One of the advantages of this integration is that you can share your Instagram stories and posts on Facebook to easily increase the reach of your content. Here̵
For this to work, you must first link your Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Open the Instagram app on your Android smartphone or iPhone and tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
Select the three-line menu icon in the top right corner of the tab to display a side menu and go to ‘Settings’.
Tap the blue link for ‘Account Center’ at the bottom.
Visit the “Accounts and Profiles” section.
Here, tap on “Add Accounts” and log into your Facebook profile.
Once you’ve verified yourself, the Instagram app will ask if you want to enable ‘connected experiences’.
It allows you to cross-post content and access other Facebook features via Instagram, such as Messenger’s instant messaging features. When you do this, you also give Facebook permission to merge your data from both platforms to personalize ads and suggest new profiles to follow.
Tap the “Continue” button and then “Finish setup” to continue.
Go back to the ‘Account Center’ and select ‘Your Story and Posts’.
Under the ‘Auto-share’ section, enable the ‘Your Instagram Story’ option to cross-post all of your future Instagram stories to Facebook. The “Your Instagram Posts” option allows you to do the same for your grid posts.
Aside from a profile, you can even automatically forward your Instagram stories and posts to a Facebook page timeline from the “Share with” menu.
In addition, you can now also send a Facebook friend a message via Instagram and vice versa. However, if you want to opt out of this, you have the option to prevent Facebook users from pinging you on Instagram.
