How to create a Google Keep list that syncs with your work and personal accounts «Smartphones :: Gadget Hacks

Google & # 39; s G Suite collection of premium cloud services and apps has become popular with corporate customers, with over six million subscribers now.

For those who use Google accounts for business and personal use, this can cause a number of workflow problems. For example, while Gmail and Google Calendar support a uniform display between accounts, Google Keep doesn't. Although you can log in with multiple accounts, the notes are kept separate.

However, if you want to open a note with both your work and personal accounts, there is an easy solution for synchronizing notes between them.

Step 1
: Install Keep

If you are new to Keep, you want to start installing the app on your work and personal devices. You can also access Keep as a web app. When you first open the app, you need to sign in to your Google accounts.

  • Install Google Keep: Android (Free) | iOS | (Free)

Step 2: Make a Note

On the Keep app home screen, tap the plus sign button in the bottom right corner to create a new note. It does not matter which account you are currently using. Enter a title with the blank note, then enter the content in the appropriate fields.

If you already have a note in mind that you want to sync, open that note from the list of available notes in the app's home screen.

Step 3: Share note with second account [19659005] With the target note open, tap the three-dot icon in the lower right corner. This gives access to a menu of options, from which you then tap "Collaborator".

On the Collaborator screen, enter the email address in the blank field at the top of the screen. If you want to add more than one account, repeat this step until all accounts have been added. When you are done, click & # 39; Save & # 39; top left to return to the note.

Now you see the account profile picture ( s) with which you shared the note. When you switch to your other account (s), you should find the shared note among your other notes.

As you can see now, this method takes advantage of the feature that is meant to share a note to which others can contribute, which is very useful for keeping shopping lists between family members. However, the approach also works if you need to sync notes between accounts.
