It's quite easy to change the aspect ratio of photos on your iPhone or iPad. With the iOS 1

3 and iPadOS 13 updates, similar editing tools are now available for video & # 39; s. You can easily crop and change the aspect ratio of video & # 39; s on your iPhone or iPad.

You can find the new video editing functions in the Photos & # 39; s app. After checking that you are using iOS 13, iPadOS 13 or higher, open the Photos & # 39; s app and open the video that you want to edit. Tap the "Edit" button here.

You are now in the video editing window. From here, tap the Crop button in the bottom row.

You see a freeform frame around the video preview. Grab one of the corners and then drag in to crop the frame.

Once you have determined the frame, you can pinch and zoom in on the video display. Move this to fit the video in the frame.

This is the freeform cropping tool. But if you want to trim the video for a certain platform or aspect ratio (for example 9:16 for Instagram stories), you can use the new presets for the aspect ratio.

In the cropping section, tap the aspect ratio button at the top right of the screen.

You will now see new formats under the Crop tool. You can switch between portrait and landscape mode, in addition to a square option.

You can also swipe horizontally across the list of aspect ratios to view all available options. Tap an aspect ratio to instantly preview the trimmed video.

Again, once you have calculated the aspect ratio, you can pinch and zoom or pan to move the video within the cropped area.

Once you & # 39; If you are satisfied with your changes, tap the "Done" button. The Photos & # 39; s app saves your video as a new version.

Starting with iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, all photo and video edits are non-destructive. If you want to return to the original video, you can go to the video editing screen and then tap the "Reset" button.
