Apple & # 39; s Spotlight Search is the fastest way to find and open apps. You can also use it to search within apps and view Siri suggestions. Not happy with the Spotlight search results? Here's how to customize it on your iPhone and iPad.
Disable Siri Suggestions in Spotlight Search
When you swipe down on the iPhone or iPad home screen, you will see suggested apps and actions below the search bar. This is the manual work of the Siri Suggestions feature.
Apple uses Siri's intelligence to find out which apps you are likely to open at the time, and occasionally suggests some actions that you often do around the same time every day. For example, you can get a suggestion to call your partner, view an album in the Photos app, a suggestion to turn on your wake-up alarm, or activate a commonly used Siri shortcut.

These suggestions are not always correct, and if you find one or two of them annoying, press and hold the item and then tap the & # 39; Close & # 39; remove them from the suggestions.
But if you're not interested in the suggested apps and action sections at all, there's an easy way to disable both
Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone or iPad. Go to the "Siri and Search" section here.
Scroll down and tap the switch next to "Search suggestions" option.
Now when you swipe down on the home screen of your iPhone or iPad, you will not find any suggestions.
Disabling Spotlight Search for Apps
So now that you've hidden the suggestions in Spotlight's search menu, it's time to turn the search results on to fit. Spotlight Search is an advanced search engine and supports in-depth search for many apps (standard and third party).
This means that when you search for something, you can find results in the Notes app, Calendar app or even a third party app you have installed. This is very useful, but can also be distracting. What if you don't want to display what's in one of your hundreds of notes?
The solution is to disable Spotlight search for the specific app. To do this, open the "Settings" app and go to the "Siri and Search" section.
Here scroll down until you find the app you want to remove from the Spotlight search results and then tap its entry.
Now select the switch next to "Show in Search" option to remove it from search results. (This also disables app shortcut suggestions.)
The search results for the specific app are now removed from Spotlight searches. You can repeat this process for any app you want to exclude from Spotlight search.
you can search in the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad just like Spotlight
