When working with rows and rows of data in Microsoft Excel, it can be difficult to keep your data in the right place. You can waste time scrolling up and down looking for each song. Freeze rows is the solution – pin the rows you need at the top of your screen so you can always see them. Here are some tips for pinning a row in Excel.
How to freeze a row in Excel:
1. Select the row directly below the data you want to block. In our case, I want to block rows one through three, so I selected row four.
2. Go to the View tab and locate the Window section.
3. Now select the option Freeze panels and choose Freeze panels. You will also find that you can choose to freeze only the first row or the first column. Keep in mind that freezing rows means freezing each row above the selected place.
4. To defrost the windows, you can go directly back to the Freeze Panes tab and select the Freeze option.
