I loved my Lite Brite as a child. There was just something about using those little multicolored pegs to make my own designs, and it's not exactly a secret that kids love everything that lights up (LED sneakers, anyone?). So how do you combine the old-fashioned fun of Lite-Brite with pumpkin carving?
Of course with a bedazzled jack-o & # 39; lantern .
Jen on Epbot came up with this cute idea that uses a foam squash (aka funkin) and glass gems and beads to make a Lite-Brite feeling. She printed a pattern and stuck it to the pumpkin, after which she used a nail to poke holes in the shape of the pattern.
Once the outline was there, she used a Dremel tool to cut deep lines into the pumpkin. For the spirals, Jen drilled holes of the same size as the gems, so that they would fit snugly and remain embedded in the pumpkin.
If You Enchanted Your Own To make a pumpkin, you can print a photo or even use the tool on Hasbro & # 39; s website to create a custom printable Lite-Brite template that you can use for guidance. You can even buy a pack of herring and use it instead if you want to make it easier.
