I did not have access to (or the budget for) a Hanwoo steak, but any piece of nice marble, such as a prime rib or ribeye steak, would do well here. I chose the comic in New York because, hey, that's what I like!

For the jjapaguri, I loosely followed the recipe video tutorial by Nongshim, the parent company of windows of Korean instant noodles. After cooking the noodles, I combined them with perfectly seared steak cubes, as well as jjapaguri's favorite sidekick, Korean pickled radish or danmuji . I had a wonderful time slurping on the springy noodles, covered with the spicy black bean sauce with soft chunks of steak, while I happily recall the electric ride that Parasite took me. (See? Jjapaguri / Chapaguri / Ram-don from Parasite

1 (6- to 8-ounce) steak, preferably prime rib, ribeye or New York strip (you need some fat marbling)
Salt
Freshly cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon of rapeseed oil (or other neutral cooking oil)
4 to 5 cups of water
1 package of Chapagetti instant noodles
1 package of Neoguri instant noodles

1. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces, about 3/4 to 1-inch chunks. Season generously with salt and pepper.

2. In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 to 5 cups of water to the boil over medium heat (this does not have to be precise, because you will drain most of this liquid).

3. Meanwhile, heat a sturdy pan (preferably cast iron) over medium heat. Add the oil and steak if it is hot but does not smoke. Make sure you do not displace the pan. No hassle with the meat (you want the caramelized edges!). Cook to your desired taste. For medium-weight cooking, cook on both sides for 1 minute each. Turn off the heat and remove the pan from the heat source.

4. Make the noodles: add both noodles and respective dehydrated vegetable packages. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, as desired. Scoop out about three to four spoons of cooking liquid before draining the noodles. Put the noodles back in the pot. Add the Chapagetti black bean powder mix and only 1/2 (to 2/3) of the Neoguri spice mix. Add the noodle and mix until everything is combined. Finally add the oil package.

5. Add the pieces of steak (with juices!) And mix. Serve with Korean pickled daikon ( danmuji ), kimchi and / or sliced ​​cucumbers.
