It can be frustrating when you have to restart Safari on your Mac and you lose what you were working on because all your tabs and windows are closed. Fortunately, there is an easy way to make Safari restore your session every time you launch the app. Here’s how to set it up.
First, launch Safari on your Mac. Click the ̵
When the “Preferences” window appears, click the “General” tab and find the “Safari opens with” option. From the drop-down menu next to it, select “All windows from last session” if you want to restore all your windows – including your private browsing windows.
If you only want your non-private windows to be restored, select “All non-private windows from the last session” from the drop-down menu.
Then close Preferences. The next time you restart Safari, it remembers your browsing session and automatically reopens any windows and tabs you had opened last time. Have fun browsing!
