How to Merge Spotify Playlists

If you have compiled several Spotify playlists, but you want to consolidate your collection, you may want to merge them. There is no built-in method to merge playlists on Spotify, but there are ways to do it.

In addition to manually copying songs from one playlist to another, you can also use third-party tools such as Spotify Playlist Merger to organize your Spotify library and merge two or more playlists into one. Here’s how.

Manually copy songs to a new or existing playlist

The easiest method to merge Spotify playlists is to copy songs from one or more playlists to a new (or existing) playlist. You can still do this if you don’t own the original playlist, but you can’t delete the original playlist after that.

Open the Spotify desktop app on your Windows PC or Mac to get started. Unfortunately, this process is not possible in the Spotify mobile app for Android, iPhone or iPad users.

Click on a playlist from the drop-down menu on the left to open it. While holding down the Shift key, select the first and last number in the list on the right to select all numbers at once.

Hold down the Shift keyboard key and press the first and last songs in a playlist to select them all.

Once the songs are selected, right-click and select Add to Playlist> New Playlist to copy them to a new playlist.

You can also select one of the existing playlists under the “New Playlist” option to copy the songs to that playlist.

Right click on the selected songs in the Spotify playlist, then press Add to Playlist> New Playlist or select one of the existing playlists below “width =” 648 “height =” 531 “onload =” pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon (this); “onerror =” this.onerror = null; pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon (this); “/>

As we said, the numbers are copied, not moved. If you’d rather delete the older playlist after the songs have been copied (leaving only the new playlist), you’ll need to delete it. Otherwise, you are free to leave it in place.

To delete the older playlist, right click on its name in the left menu and select the “Delete” option.

This will delete the older playlist, leaving only the merged playlist in your account. You must repeat these steps for each additional playlist you want to merge.

Using a third-party playlist merge utility

The above method works well, but requires the use of the Spotify desktop app. If you want to try a more automatic approach, you should use a third party tool like Spotify Playlist Merger. This one uses the Spotify API to copy playlists together without having to use the desktop app, making it a good alternative for Spotify mobile users.

To begin, open the Spotify Playlist Merger website and select the “Connect With Spotify” button in the center of the page (or in the top right corner).

press the

Log in with your Spotify credentials on the next page and allow access to your Spotify account (including your saved playlists).

Select “Agree” to confirm that you approve access.

After signing up, you will be returned to the home page of Spotify Playlist Merger.

In the “Playlist Name or Link” box, find the first playlist you want to merge and select it from the menu and click “Next” to confirm.

In the

Repeat this step for the second playlist you want to merge.

In the last stage, click on the button ‘Do you want to combine them into a new playlist?’ slider to ensure that the playlists are merged into a new playlist. Otherwise, the songs will be copied to the first playlist you selected.

If you choose to combine them into a new playlist, click “Next” to continue.

Press the Combine Playlist slider and click

In the “New Playlist Name” box, enter a name for your new playlist, then select “Finish” to start the merge process.

Enter a name for your new playlist and click

This will create a new merged playlist with the songs from both playlists. However, the previous playlist will not be deleted, so if you want to clean up your saved playlists, you will need to delete them later in the desktop or mobile app.
