Quickly turn off app notifications from the notification center
You can turn off an app’s notification from within the notification itself. This works when you see a notification banner or warning in the top right corner of the screen.
When you see a notification, right-click on it and choose the “Disable” option. Your Mac will immediately stop notifications from the app.
You can also use the Notification Center for this. Click Date and Time in the menu bar to display the Notification Center. You can also swipe in from the right side of the trackpad with two fingers.
Here you will see notifications from installed apps. The notifications are grouped by apps.
Right-click on a notification and choose the “Disable” option to disable notifications for the app.
Enable App Notifications in System Preferences
If you change your mind, you can enable notifications for an app through System Preferences. Click on the Apple icon in the menu bar and choose the “System Preferences” option.
Go to the “Notifications” section here.
In the sidebar, choose the app for which you want to enable notifications. Then click the toggle next to ‘Allow notifications’ to enable notifications for the app.
