If there is a particular slide in your presentation that you think could be useful in other media, you can save that slide as an image and use it accordingly. To save a Microsoft PowerPoint slide as a picture.
First, open PowerPoint and select the slide you want to save as an image in the thumbnail pane by clicking on it. A box will appear around the slide once it is selected.
Then click on the “File” tab.
Select ‘Save As’ from the left pane.
On the right side of the screen you will see two text boxes. Enter the file name in the top text box.
In the lower text box, select the file type. Click the down arrow to the right of the text box.
A drop-down menu will appear with different file types in which to save the presentation (or slide). These are the image file types you can choose from to save your slide as:
- Animated GIF format (* .gif)
- JPEG File Interchange Format (* .jpg)
- PNG Portable Network Graphics Format (* .png)
- TIFF Tag Image File Format (* .tif)
- Scalable vector graphics (* .svg)
Click the image file type you want to convert the PowerPoint slide to. Then select the “Save” button.
A dialog box will appear asking if you want to export all slides as images or just the ones you selected. Click on ‘Only this one’.
The slide is now saved as an image.
In addition to saving slides as pictures in Microsoft PowerPoint, you can also save objects in a slide as pictures. Use this method if you only want to save specific parts of the slide as an image and keep the image file size smaller.
