The battery percentage on your Mac is a metric you check often. But the small default battery icon in the menu bar only shows a blurry image. Here̵
By default, your Mac does not display the battery percentage, although you can click the battery icon to see the percentage in the drop-down menu. But this is not an intuitive step.
Fortunately, you can add the battery percentage value next to the battery icon quite easily.
Click on the Apple icon in the menu bar and choose the “System Preferences” option.
Here go to the “Dock & menu bar” section.
Now select the option “Battery” in the sidebar.
Click on the check mark next to the option “Show battery percentage”.
And voila, you will now see the battery percentage next to the battery icon in the menu bar!
While in the Dock & Menubar section, you can also check the “Show in Control Center” option to add a percentage battery icon at the bottom of the Control Center.
