Android notifications are great, but they aren’t perfect. The way some notifications appear on the screen can be annoying, especially if they are not important. Fortunately, you can prevent this.
The bad news is there is no way to turn off popup notifications all at once. You have to do it individually per app. The process is simple though, so if you do it every time an annoying notification comes in, you̵
First, swipe down from the top of your device’s screen (once or twice depending on your phone or tablet manufacturer) and tap the gear icon to open the Settings menu.
Then select ‘Apps & Notifications’.
Tap ‘View all [Number] Apps ”for the complete list of installed apps.
Find the app that gives you annoying popup notifications.
Now select ‘Notifications’.
Here you can see all the different notification channels for the app. Unfortunately, you have to go into each channel individually to turn off popup notifications. Pick one to get started.
Then search for “Pop On Screen” and turn it off.
Repeat this process for each app and for the notification channels you want to stop appearing. From now on, when a notification arrives, the icon will only appear in the notification bar. There will be no popups in the way.
