Although you can download streaming music apps with the better Fitbit models, until recently the only options available were for less popular services such as Deezer and Pandora. Fitbit has added Spotify to its list of supported music clients, so if you own one of the Fitbit smartwatches that support apps, you can now link your Spotify account with your smartwatch.
Currently, music playback is supported by the Versa, Versa 2, Versa Lite and Ionic. If you have none of these smartwatches or their "Special Edition" versions, sorry, you're out of luck.
You also need a Spotify Premium account to stream music from your account to the Fitbit; regular ad listeners cannot benefit from the integration.
To stream Spotify playlists from your Fitbit, you must first download the app by following these steps. (Here is a guide for downloading Fitbit apps in general, if you need them.)
Open your Fitbit mobile app and tap your avatar icon in the top right corner to go to your profile.
Tap the desired device to download Spotify to.
Find Spotify under the list of supported apps. You can't currently find apps in the Fitbit app section, but there aren't many, so it shouldn't be that hard to find.

After the app is installed, you will see a Settings menu at the bottom of the Spotify app page in the Fitbit app, select it and you will be taken to a Spotify page that you can use to log in. with your account or your Facebook profile, or your AA n to report if you do not have an account yet.
While the Fitbit does have a built-in microphone, it has no speakers, so to hear the music being played, you still need to connect to external speakers. Supported devices are a smartphone, tablet, computer or a Bluetooth headset / speaker / smart home speaker that supports Spotify Connect.
