By default, anyone can activate the voice assistant Siri while your iPhone or iPad is locked. Here’s how to turn off Siri on the lock screen.
To start, open the Settings app by tapping the gray gear icon.
In Settings, tap “Face ID & Passcode” (for iPhones with Face ID) or “Touch ID & Passcode” (for iPhones with a home button). You will see a different option based on the model of iPhone you have.
Then enter your access code.
Scroll down in the “Passcode” settings until you find the “Allow access when locked” section. Tap the switch next to “Siri” to turn it off.
Then exit Settings by returning to the home screen. Lock your iPhone and try to activate Siri. Nothing happens, which means that your iPhone is more secure than before.
If you later change your mind and want to use Siri on the lock screen again, just go back to the Passcode settings and flip the switch next to Siri back to the on position. Good luck!
