What is the Burn Bar in Apple Fitness +?
First, though, it’s worth understanding what exactly the Burn Bar measures. It strictly compares your calorie burn during the last two minutes of the workout (that’s why it doesn’t show up until after two minutes) and, at the end of the workout, your average for the entire workout with other people who have done it. However, you are not compared to absolutely everyone. Instead, you get a score – Behind the Pack, In the Pack, Middle of the Pack, Front of the Pack, or Ahead of the Pack – based on other people of your age, gender, and weight. If you are just starting out and not the strongest, you don’t have to worry about always being Behind the Pack, even when you work hard.
After your first Fitness + workout, there is an option to turn the Burn Bar off. If you missed it, the option to turn it off can be a bit difficult to find.
