One of my favorite iOS hacks is Type to Siri. This allows you to type your questions into the digital iPhone assistant without using your voice. Unfortunately, Type to Siri replaces the typical Siri voice prompt on the Home or Side button, which means that you have to choose between one or the other. That is, up to iOS 13.
The latest update from Apple includes a new way to type to Siri, whereby the use of "Type to Siri" is not enabled at all. Of course, that option still exists if you prefer, because you will see that this trick is not the same at all . However, you may find the new option of iOS 13 worthwhile, so that you can keep talking to Siri if you press the Home or Side button for a long time.
So how does this new way to type to Siri work? Go to the home screen on your iPhone and then swipe down on the screen to open the search bar. You can also access this search bar via the Today view by swiping left on the home screen or the Message Center. Now type your question and tap "Ask Siri" (you may need to scroll down to find this option).
As soon as you tap, your question will be answered as if you would have asked Siri with your voice. Although it may be a little less convenient than Type to Siri & # 39; s button shortcut, you can type here without having to change settings on your device.
