The impeachment executives who are prosecuting closed their presentations on Thursday that Trump willfully incited the violentJanuary 6 graphic, including clips from security cameras showing members of Congress running from people with firearms, baseball bats and riot shields after the mob smashed windows, smashed doors, and attempted to track down specific members of Congress and former Vice President Mike Pence.
The defense has argued that the process is unconstitutional because Trump is no longer a sitting president. Trump rejected the request to testify under oath before or at the Senate trial.
Friday will be the turn of the defense.
Trump is the first president in US history to be impeached twice and the first to be subjected to impeachment after his term in office. Before he left office, the House232-197 on the article “incitement to insurrection”. If two-thirds of the senate votes to condemn him, there could be an additional vote to disqualify Trump from re-holding public office.

What is the schedule for Trump’s impeachment process?
The planned Senate impeachment process continues Friday at 12 o’clock ET (9 a.m.PT) with the presentation of Trump’s defense team, followed by Senate questions.
AEach day’s session lasts as long as 8 hours, but Saturday and Sunday can each last four hours. Trump’s first impeachment, in 2019, lasted three weeks.
The House impeachment managers closed their case on Thursday.
