When will your third stimulus check arrivesIf you receive a paper stimulus, check for up to $ 1,400 per household member, the good news is that third stimulus controls are on the move, with more than 150,000 checks sent by mail, the IRS said Wednesday. More payments are expected to arrive through the mail in the coming weeks eligible peopleSo if you expect a physical check-up or EIP debit card, rather than one direct deposit, how do you make sure you know what to look for?

More good news: The IRS and US Postal Service each have services that, when used together, allow you to create your incentive payment straight to your mailbox. Theirs stimulus check tracker tool contains information about your payment schedule, when your money will arrive and how, and if there was an error processing your payment. However, it doesn’t give you an exact date for when you can expect your money to get to you.

That’s where a free USPS service comes in handy. We’ll show you how to use the USPS service to check if your payment is coming in by mail. (And here’s what we know about one so far fourth stimulus control.) This story was recently updated.

Informed Delivery: How the USPS Service Can Work for You

Informed Delivery is a free email tracking service from the USPS that automatically scans your letters and can provide you with an image each time a letter with your name on it is delivered – this, of course, includes your third incentive payment.

When the USPS runs mail letters through its automated mail sorting equipment, it automatically creates a digital image of the front of all letter-size mail. Anyone who signs up for Informed Delivery can access the information by asking the USPS to notify you when each mail item with your name on it is in transit. Please note that it can take up to three days to activate your account.

As part of the program, you will receive an email every morning from Monday to Saturday to notify you of any email that is delivered to you. You will also see a grayscale image of the front of the letter. Informed Delivery has free apps for Android and iPhone that you can use too.

Keep in mind that if you sign up, you will see it all your mail scanned by the post office, not just your stimulus check. You can cancel the service at any time.
